Perhaps the single most innovative and life-changing medical device created be Dr. Winbush is RestoreRX, an intranasal spray that assists with immediate treatment and relief of pain associated with migraines and cluster and acute migraine headaches.

Migraine sufferers are everyday people. They are men, women, and children whose daily lives are disrupted and whose quality of life is diminished because of this illness. Dr. Winbush suffers from migraines, as do many of his patients. He used this as the inspiration he needed to develop a solution. Dr. Winbush worked tirelessly and even tested on himself to perfect what RestoreRX is today.

RestoreRX is easy to acquire, simple to use, and effective in its treatment of migraines and their symptoms. Its simplicity is key. The device is a modified sphenopalatine ganglion block, an intranasal device attached to a syringe. Unlike many painkillers used for migraine treatment, RestoreRX has no long-term side effects. It is completely safe to use and requires no prescription.

How does RestoreRX Work?

The sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) is a ganglion located directly under the nasal mucosa. The SPG is located in the sphenopalatine fossa, encapsulated in connective tissue, surrounded by fat tissue and separated from the nasal cavity by the bony wall. The sphenopalatine fossa communicated with the nasal cavity through the SPG, which contains neuromuscular structures packed with connective tissue and is covered by mucosa in the nasal cavity.

The sphenopalatine foramen (SPF) has been a target for the treatment of headache disorders for decades. For years, a significant treatment effect in patients with migraine headaches was demonstrated by the intranasal administration of local anesthetics. In line with this hypothesis and evidence, the application of intranasal local anesthetic as close as possible to the SPF became commercially beneficial. In the past, all procedures involving SPG and head pain were performed by physicians and medical personnel and entailed significant costs.

In accordance with the disclosed method, a patient utilizes and intranasal device attached to a syringe (RestoreRX). With the head of the patient placed in a sniffing position while holding their breath, the medication is insufflated into the nasal cavity of choice. After the medication is administered, it flows into the posterior nasopharynx and subsequently flows into the oral pharynx and saturates the palatine ganglion without the use of needles, swabs, or harsh medications.

This method provided a procedure that is comfortable to patients and involves a low level of risks. Making it possible for patients to perform the procedure at home without the need to visit a medical facility. RestoreRX is affordable, safe to use, and can be delivered right to your door.
